The Bets: Saturday 12/17/22

“I passed around your website, Zabes. We are kinda laughing at the ‘do not bet on the lions’ post LOL, you’re sometimes good, sometimes shit”

A very kind text from my good friend, Kok (pronounced Cock, not even kidding)

Listen, last Sunday was the last time I wrote (I hate that it has become more challenging for me to write during the week) but it was probably the WORST gambling day in this Blog’s history.

The blog was at +14.46 Units and after a terrible double loss on two true daily doubles, the net loss was -3.74 Units bringing The Blog’s total to…

+10.72 Units

The goal of twenty units up by New Years may be a stretch, but lets see if we can take vegas to the cleaners today ladies and gentlemen

Make sure you check out my “futures” section at the bottom. More to add soon!

Indianapolis @ Minnesota12:00 pm CST
(Vikings -3.5, O/U 46.5)

Alright, full transparency season. Obviously, this blog is published after the start of this game, so I can’t give an official pick.

I thought this game was going to be a cakewalk for the Vikings, a get-right game. Kirk at noon is perfect for him he can just play his game

But what I didn’t think about is that this is still a stand-alone game. The only game that people are watching, and Kirk just turns into a pumpkin whenever he is on his own.

I would have bet the Vikings -3.5, and I did bet the Vikings -2.5 live. This looks bad

Zabe is an idiot and woke up after 12:00, what a lazy fuck
Risk 1 Unit to win 0.93

Baltimore @ Cleveland 3:30 pm CST
(Browns -2.5, O/U 38.5)

This game is gross. We got Deshaun Watson who literally belongs in jail, and Tyler Huntly facing off.

Last week we had Watson go down with a really bad cramp, and the faces on his teammates when they looked at each other saying “hell no I ain’t massaging that man’s leg… We all know what happens next” was fucking hilarious

Both offenses suck. Ravens will win this game because of how great their defense is. But I’m not that confident in it to bet on it, I like the total here.

Nobody will be moving the ball much. 14-17 type of game, give me the UNDER

Browns/Ravens Under 38.5 (-107)

Risk 1 Unit to win 0.93

Miami @ Buffalo 7:15 pm CST
(Buffalo -7, O/U 43.5)

This is all I have to show for you to understand what the pick is here.

In preparation for the 28-degree weather with snowy conditions in Buffalo, Mike McDaniel turned on the AIR CONDITIONING in the Dolphin’s training facility to the lowest it could go… 62 degrees.

This gives off major “I drive a giant truck because of my small penis” vibes from Coach Mike McDaniel

Do you know who else had to do something like this to rally his team before a big rivalry game? It involves another in-over-his-head coach…

In his first year coaching (I think, kind of seems like it) Nick Sirianni had to wear a shirt to get his players ready for a rivalry game that he knew was not going to go well.

Seems a lot similar to what we have here in Miami

Oh, and the final score of that “Beat Dallas” rivalry game?

41-21, Dallas

Goodnight Miami, I hope you had fun thinking you were going to make it to the playoffs.

DING DING DING

OH, WHAT IS THAT?!?!

TRUE DAILY DOUBLE

This game is SO clear. Bills all day long. Enjoy your Saturday night doubling your units on this game baby!

Bills -7 (-110)

Risk 2 Units to win 1.82

Zabe’s Futures

In this section, I will keep track of any futures that I will be placing for The Blog.

December 11, 2022:
Georgia to win the NCAAF Championship (-130)
Risk 4 Units to win 3.08

If you have been following along on my Saturday “The Bets” blogs, you will know my opinion on this Georgia team and the other three teams in this playoff. Georgia is just SO much better.

Remember Bama in their hay day? Yeah, that is this team and we are STILL getting decent odds because people don’t want to accept that the playoff system is still non-competitive.

Now, this play DOES count for the blog. If it hits, it will go toward The Blog’s total. If it misses, the -4 will still go towards The Blog’s total.
