Fuck it, it’s bowl season
Bowl season is trash to bet on due to all of the opt-outs, but that can also lead to some simple and obvious plays.
I’ve been studying how this year has gone with how impactful the opt-outs are and I’m ready to put my nuts on the line with 5 plays today, one from each bowl game.

DUKE’S MAYO BOWL
Maryland vs. NC State 11:00 am CST
(Pick ‘Em, O/U 45.5)
I will be talking quite a bit about the opt-outs in most of the Bowl Games, but this one screams which side will struggle just by who is actually playing.
NC State is going back to their true freshman as QB, which normally would be alarming, but he’s been the best option this year for the Wolfpack. Coming off of an injury he’s going to be looking to continue his momentum into winning the starting job next season by showing out today.
Every defensive player is returning for this game. Their second-best receiver, Devin Carter, has opted out. That is a loss, but not one to cry over.
The Terps on the other hand, are fucked.
I mean, FUCKED.
Taulia Tagovailoa (Tua’s little bro) has regressed this year in terms of his passing success. The confusing this is he has 3 NFL receivers to throw the ball to!
Those 3 NFL talents have opted out of the game today… Yeah….
Lil’ Tua is fucked. I hope the Browns are looking for QB depth in the draft because Taulia is going to show the world how to take a Cleveland Steamer in this one.

UCLA vs. Pitt 1:00 pm CST
(UCLA -8, O/U 54.5)
Chip Kelly is the type of coach to make sure his players get up for this meaningless game. UCLA has nothing to prove or to play for, but Chip is the type of guy to get them GOING.
Their offense is explosive, they will be scoring plenty of points, and their defense is going to come out to prove itself as a threat in the PAC12 for the next season.
Meanwhile, Pitt doesn’t even know who they are going to start under center. Sure, they are a rushing team, but they still throw the ball 27 times a game.
They will be a 1-dimensional team that will just get swallowed up. I like the over, but I do not know if Pitt can score more than 17 in this game.
UCLA all the way, go Bruins
UCLA -8 (-112)

TAXSLAYER GATOR BOWL
Notre Dame vs. South Carolina 2:30 pm CST
(Notre Dame -3.5, O/U 50.5)
I’m weirdly excited to watch this game. This is one of the very few non-CFP Bowl Games that will be must-see football.
Notre Dame is coming off of a very disappointing season, but the players LOVE this coach. They know he is on the hot seat already and will do anything to keep that seat cool.
Notre Dame is very rush-heavy, but they are losing their starting QB and best Pass-Catcher here. I was surprised to see that they are still favored but that is because of their defense.
They give up the big plays from time to time, but their secondary has been lights out otherwise.
South Carolina got STUPID hot at the end of the year, knocking the doors off of Tennessee and beating Clemson as well.
The issue is, their Star RB has opted out, and their backup went to the transfer portal. So, the Gamecocks will be relying on their third string RB.
This doesn’t matter.
The real story is Spencer Rattler.
Don’t get me wrong, this dude is going to blow in the NFL. He is ugly as fuck, too. But god dammit is he out there to prove something.
Two years ago, people were projecting him to be a first-round draft pick in this upcoming draft, but after last year and the first half of this year, he was lucky to be an undrafted free agent.
He has now put his stock back up and is projected to be a third-day draft pick. Rattler knows if he plays well enough today, he may be able to jump off the board in rounds 2-4.
That’s a fuck ton of monetary motivation. This ugly gremlin wants to get paid, and I’m betting on him that he does.

I normally love this matchup of Mountain West vs MAC, but the only reason I will be watching this game is that Barstool is going to make it fun as hell to watch.
I love the MAC Conference, but I am so fucking salty about this Ohio team.
They shit their pants in the MAC Championship game. I can’t stand them.
Wyoming has been playing WAY above expectations this year as well. It is only fitting they finish the year with a win.
I fucking hate Ohio I can’t get that out of my head. Just the whole state can blow me. Buckeyes will get fucked tomorrow.

CAPITAL ONE ORANGE BOWL
Tennessee vs. Clemson 7:00 pm CST

Tennessee is so fucked. This team was so good for so long, but they are just a sad shell of what they were. Hendon Hooker fucking his knee up and leaving the team for the NFL just leaves everyone with a sour taste in their mouth.
I will say, Joe Milton didn’t look BAD against Vandy, but he didn’t look good, and it was against Vandy….
Meanwhile, Clemson finally dumped that piece of shit DJ Uiagalelei as QB… that dude sucked so hard.
Cade Klubnik is going to be the man for the Tigers, and I’ll easily say he is going to be a dude.
I don’t know what it is, but the way he played against North Carolina makes me want to root for him.
Maybe it’s just because I couldn’t stand Uiagaleleli and other people LOVED him for no reason.
Tennessee is a sad sack of shit and will get roasted here.
